This attractive grass-like genus hails from Australia and New Zealand, where aboriginal people used it for weaving. Famously drought tolerant and low-maintenance once established. Dense weeping tussocks of very fine blades, glaucous blue-green, with purple basal sheaths. Small yellow/orange flowers in spring.
