This Maiden Grass Needs No Rescuing!

Miscanthus sinensis has been a star on the world’s garden stage for well over a century. It’s the best-selling, most-recognized ornamental grass species you can grow.

‘Fire Dragon’(PP30374) lives up to its name with a fiery fall flourish of vivid red and orange blades. Silvery flower plumes rise as high as seven feet, safely above the flames.

Known for its durability, maiden grass never flags when the heat is on. It can be slow to start in spring, but once the days, nights and soil have warmed up for good, stand back and watch it go.

‘Fire Dragon’ originated in Woellstein, Germany. It’s hardy in Zones 4 – 9, and stands about 6’ tall in flower.
