About the Rock Star Award

Over the past several years, our Rock Star award has honored ECG employees who demonstrate a sustained high level of performance and inspire others. 

This month we bestow our final Rock Star Award, as ECG adopts a new employee recognition program for 2023. 

Our last (but certainly not least) Rock Star Award recipient is Gwyn Engle.

Gwyn started with ECG in the winter of 2016. She has worked in a variety of departments over the years, always learning, always helpful, always ready for the next assignment.

Her peers say, 

"I would like to vote for Gwyn Engle. I think if anybody deserves to win the final Rock Star, it’s Gwyn! She has continued to lead the moving crew (whose responsibilities have extended beyond grass and perennial moves to include cleanup and organization around the farm) wonderfully well. She has the respect of everyone who works with her and constantly keeps a great attitude no matter what the weather or the task at hand."

"My vote is for Gwyn Engle. She has really stepped up and taken charge of the moving team." 

"This month my vote is for Gwyn Engle. She does moves, cleanup, and watering. Gwyn is always hard working and keeps on task and is very friendly." 

"My vote is for Gwyn. She gathers and loads plants for trucking, moves plants around the nursery, and helps with plant care. She shows up everyday with a smile and a can do attitude!" 

"I'd like to vote for Gwyn Engle for Rock Star this month. Gwyn has been with ECG for quite a while, and she’s done just about everything, from weeding to logistics to shipping. She’s also a very reliable waterer who started voluntarily coming in on Saturdays to help with watering. Gwyn is a huge asset to plant care all the way around!"
