Wait, don’t tell me – it’s lavender, of course!

Yes, it’s Lavandula, all right. Nothing else can match the calming, clean fragrance of this legendary herb. That marvelous fresh scent gave the genus its name. Lavender is from lavare, Latin for “to wash.” It’s been used for that purpose for millennia.
Mediterranean lavenders have a multi-functional, timeless appeal, making them an essential addition to any garden or landscape. Their charming perfume and vibrant beauty soothe the senses and attract vital pollinators.
Look around, Lavender farms are popping up across North America. The demand is hotter than ever—it's a fragrance frenzy!

Ornamental herbs blend a naturally elegant aesthetic with a hardy, functional reputation. Grown for textural foliage and pleasant fragrance, they enhance perennial, pollinator, and patio gardens.
Like many herbs, Lavandula a. resents excessive moisture and grows best in well-drained soils. To promote healthy plants, incorporate a regular fungicide rotation and ensure adequate spacing between plants.
'Munstead'

'Hidcote'
It is an evergreen perennial with subtle gray-green leaves and a sweet fragrance. Purple stalks rise above foliage in midsummer.
It is named for an Arts & Crafts garden in England near the hamlet of Hidcote Bartrim. The National Trust says Hidcote is “a stone’s throw from Stratford-Upon-Avon” and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, but that’s just an expression. Actual stone-throwing is frowned upon.
